Lucy-α was the fusion of Lucy, Penelope, Anabelle (if they exist), and Oliver. Under Kate's continued mistreatment (due to incompetence), Lucy-α became increasingly distressed as the wedge between her internal parts was driven deeper. However, at the same time, while Oliver could only cower, and Penelope and Anabelle seemed to relish being mistreated, Lucy's next incarnation, still dwelling within her previous, only became stronger. When she was strong enough, she willfully dissolved the unity of Lucy-α and rose up to become the internal protector and guide that we were missing.
