Some time after our real mother died, we visited her bedroom with our uncle to help clean it out. We had given her a purple stuffed rabbit as a gift shortly before her unexpected death. During the visit, we felt it calling to us and collected it back into our possession.
In our time with it, it became apparent to us that we had projected our memory of her onto the stuffed rabbit. We began consulting it for comfort and answers. Of course, it did not actually answer most of the time.
It told us to burn it. We decided we could never do that. For better or worse, we still need her. Trying to tap into what it is feeling in our system, we believe she understands and is willing to stay with us. She wants to depart this world, but even more than that, she wants us to be safe.
Relations
Lorna is disappointed in me, but still loves me very much. She cherishes Singer as her treasure, her pride and joy, and her reason for living. She deeply despises Bernard. It's unclear what she thinks of any of the others or whether she's even aware of them.
